As a specialist partner of the automotive industry, we are on the front line in the drive for advances in automobile manufacture. Our T-PUT branded quality products (Phoenix, Union and Thermanit) are used in demanding applications, including body construction and the manufacture of axles and exhaust systems. Euronorm 4 brings new implications which require innovative technological solutions. To enhance their effectiveness in cleaning exhaust systems, catalytic converters are being moved nearer to the engine block.The higher temperatures in this zone require specialized ferritic chrome steels with high thermal shock, corrosion and scaling resistance, combined with an adequate fatigue endurance limit. Specifically for use with this group of steels, we have developed the compatible welding alloys, Thermanit 409 Cb and Thermanit 1610 Si, to provide our customers in  the automotive industry with a clean solution.
